Here are some pictures from Meteora, Greece, september 2005. They are the result of an amazing day with lots of clouds, sunshine and a beautiful scenery…
The day before I took these pictures I was supposed to go on excursion for a day to Meteora, but I missed the bus. The next day I rented a car. To my disappointment that morning the weather was really bad. It was clouded, and on my way it started raining very hard.
When I arrived all monasteries were hidden in the mist. My timing was rather okay though, and after a while the mist started to disappear. Still it took till about noon until the sun was shining.
It was an incredible day. The weather was okay, the clouds were beautiful, and in the afternoon a devine light appeared in the valley, as you can see in the pictures. It turned out that I was very lucky to have missed the bus the day before.
